In February 2005, we (Michael and Jo Butler) had the great joy of going to Uganda where James Adyeri, David Serunjogi, Eridard Nsubuga and their families welcomed us so warmly that we felt we had indeed "joined their world". We travelled some bumpy roads to church at Nyamarwa and saw the "Kibbuse Foundation" where the
youngsters danced and sang to welcome us. We admired their vocational training - with knitting machine, sewing and tailoring, carpentry and building. Michael even enjoyed organising a drawing class for all.
The Kibbuse Foundation brings a Health Centre with a daily clinic and nutritional training to an isolated village where medicine was dispensed through a window and patients gathered outside. Meanwhile we saw the foundations of a purpose built new clinic being laid out. One lady showed us how to weave a mat.
James and his wife Aida took us to the Queen Elizabeth National Park and to see the source of the Nile and the Bujagali rapids. We were glad to see David & Sarah's school and maize mill and meet Eridard & Jane.
Altogether we were very impressed with the way these men were committed to and engaged with effective development projects, moreover creating activity and jobs and hope.
