NEWS UPDATE
Continuously under construction! - watch this space............
From Bob and Brenda Schuyler, volunteers working at Kibbuse, 13 November 2009:
Dear Michael, greetings!
We've been swamped with activity as we wind up our SECOND year here at Kibbuse,
with student stuff, construction stuff and visitor stuff. It's been GREAT (and I
guess we're not quite too old for all this!)
We received your recent gift two weeks ago and it is already at work on a
variety of construction projects, including completion of closing in and
securing our workshop building and building a culverted driveway apron to permit
reasonable access to our compound without engaging four-wheel drive, building a
new generator shed and a number of other projects that are helping us move
toward licensing of the school with the National Education Ministry. THANK YOU
ALL!
We hope to begin construction of an Administrative Office room at the end of the
house next door (on top of the existing concrete pad) to give us better
operating room. Right now, our Faith House living/dining area is also our
business office, school reception area, registration office, file room, design
and communications office and conference area. Today there are three of us
working simultaneously on laptops here. We really need the relief!
I'll be sending our November newsletter in a few days. We are seeking "end of
year" contributions to help complete the Office and to purchase a better
vehicle. The Hilux we purchased a year and a half ago is truly on it's last legs
and is costing too much in repair time, fuel and oil costs, etc. Please pray
God's wisdom for me as I compose that letter and appeal.
Thank you all for all you are doing in our behalf. We are blessed in your
fellowship and grateful for your partnership in this gospel work. In His love,
ours, to all of you,
Bob
From James Adyeri....
Dear, Jo, Michael and Diane, Greetings in the
Name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Many thanks for your communications,
* VOCATIONAL TRAINING:
The vocational training school is still doing well. Allow me to extend our
appreciation for the effort, time and money you are putting in looking around to
support the Kibbuse projects. I confirm and acknowledge with sincere thanks the
knitting machine which was donated to the school some time back. At the same
time we want to acknowledge with sincere thanks and the contribution of 820,616
Ug. Shs. (Eight hundred twenty thousand six hundred sixteen), which was sent
through UDS as a contribution towards the school truck. This donation was made
by one charity organisation from UK . Through you, well done. We still have that
amount in the bank and the truck we're proposing to buy costs 8500 pounds.
We are sure that if this truck is bought, it can sustain itself because any time
when it is not doing school work especially in holidays it can be hired and
generate some income for the sustainability and maintenance of the truck.
Therefore with that proper management there will be no need to put in money for
the maintenance and other expenses for the truck because it will be able to
support itself. It will be a self sustaining project at the same time as
supporting the school - a valuable investment as we continue to give our
students hope for their future.
At the moment we have at least 55 students involved in different courses eg.
Tailoring and cutting, carpentry and joinery, bricklaying and concrete practice
(building), motor vehicle mechanics, knitting, handicraft etc.
* HEALTH PROGRAMME: We have a clinic at Kabasara village called the
Kabasara Good Samaritan Community Health Centre which is about 20 kms from the
nearest other clinic. Kabasara clinic serves about 5000 people from five
villages, it also serves other villages outside the area of operation. At this
clinic we need some volunteers e.g. nurses, midwives, enrolled nurses etc. on
short or long terms.
* ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION PROGRAMME: This is also another programme where we help or teach our community about environment protection issues, this includes planting trees, teaching how to make tree nursery beds etc. The trees are distributed in the community to the people (at a low cost for programme sustainability) to be planted in their land; for fire wood, soil conservation, etc.
You will be happy to know that we have got two volunteers
from USA called Mr & Mrs Bob and Brenda Schynler, Bob is helping us as
communications officer. I have asked him to update all our friends about
the Kibbuse projects. Brenda is helping us as an administrator and
financial controller. We are happy with them and they doing a good job.
Thank you for your prayers.
We love you all and God bless. Lots of love,
James and Aidah, 13 September 2008
(Michael
Butler is willing to receive any e-mail from you who read this - and willing
to pass on James Adyeri's e-mail address to anyone genuinely wishing to give
support to this worthwhile project)

It seems now a long time ago! In July 2005 Important news came from James confirming that we had raised £11,000 - enough to purchase the main Kibbuse building....
The Rev James Adyeri wrote from Uganda:
“On behalf of the students, staff and the entire community of Nyamarwa village, where the project is situated in Kibaale District, I would like to express our sincere thanks for the great effort made to fundraise the amount required for these buildings.
Our thanks go to everyone, without mentioning names, for their great contribution towards this effort, honestly you have made a future for this project.
As a project we are secure, we have a home now after a long time. God is good all the time, thanks be to God.”
THANK YOU FOR HELPING US RAISE £11,000 TO SECURE THE FUTURE OF THE KIBBUSE FOUNDATION.
We still greatly appreciate those of you/us who are able to support the ongoing work developing the Kibbuse project - meeting ongoing costs of salaries of teachers and nurses, and encouraging it's development.
