NEWS UPDATE
Continuously under construction! - watch this space............
On 5 April 2005 we (Michael and Jo Butler) received an encouraging e-mail from the Rev James Adyeri......
Dear Michael & Jo,
Thank you for your lovely e-mail. I am sorry I have taken long to reply,
sometimes it is very expensive to travel from the village to Kampala.
However I have made a note that you have so far raised a total of £3,404 for The
Kibbuse Foundation which will be sent to Uganda Development Services in Kampala.
I am happy to confirm with you that today I have received a cheque for 7,551,282
=Ugshs (Uganda Shillings) which is equivalent to £2,435.90 (English Pounds) as a
deposit for purchasing the building.
I have deposited the cheque on the Kibbuse account and within three to four
working days the money will be on the account and we shall start the process of
paying Mr Muwongw Andrew the agreed deposit. The formal agreement will
have been drawn up as well. I will let you know the progress as we go on .
I will check on the
Redcliffe college website for the
new information; thank you for the article you put in
the "Citizen", the Gloucester, UK, local newspaper .
Here things are still going on well, I am happy to inform
you that a new Knitting Machine was bought, I
will be sending you the pictures of the Machine;
Thank you for your support, the students and the staff at
Kibbuse have asked me to pass on their sincere thanks to both of you for your
concern and love. Regarding the Clinic you will be happy to know
that
with the help of the community, the foundations of the new clinic are finished;
even though at the moment we do not know how to go about it in terms of funds,
but God knows !!!!!
The community with their hands have also managed to get five trips [loads] of
sand and 2000 bricks.
To start this Clinic we need at least another 15 trips of sand, 15,000 bricks,
15 trips of stones and 100
bags of cements and other materials as well, as far as the building is
concerned.
I am happy to inform you that I got a positive and a lovely e-mail from Trevor
Henry talking about the
Kibbuse Foundation; He picked up the interest after speaking with you and Jo
after your recent visit
to Uganda.
Thank you for all your prayers and love to all of us as a family. Please
be assured of our prayers too.
Greetings from Aidah and family.
LOTS OF LOVE
James & Aidah
(Michael
Butler is willing to receive any e-mail from you who read this - and willing
to pass on James Adyeri's e-mail address to anyone genuinely wishing to give
support to this worthwhile project)

On 9 May 2005 we received another e-mail from the Rev James Adyeri......
Dear Jo & Michael,
Thank you for your e-mail.
At Kibbuse Foundation we are grateful to all who have and still are contributing
to this project;
At this point with sincere thanks I would like to inform you and at the same
time to confirm that on 6th May 2005 I received a cheque
of 9.907.872= Ugshs, equivalent to £ 3,096.21 pounds; from Uganda Development
Services in Kampala as a second instalment to
Mr.Muwonge Andrew, for purchasing the building.
Muwonge was reassured of the money and is happy to wait a few weeks for the
balance.
Your visit is still remembered in our home and in the
village;
Aidah and the children are still OK and it is raining heavily. We are
planting different crops e.g. beans, maize, bananas etc.
The cow is giving us some milk.
I think you rememeber in one of my e-mails I told you that we finished digging
the Foundation of the Good Sammaritan Clinic.
Once again thank you for writing and for your effort on raising money for the
sustainability of the KIBBUSE FOUNDATION.
I am sure
your effort will be rewarded, by that one who knows the future { GOD }.
Our prayers and Love to you all.
LOTS OF LOVE

July 2005 News from James confirms that we have raised £11,000 enough to purchase the main Kibbuse building....
The Rev James Adyeri writes from Uganda:
“On behalf of the students, staff and the entire community of Nyamarwa village, where the project is situated in Kibaale District, I would like to express our sincere thanks for the great effort made to fundraise the amount required for these buildings.
Our thanks go to everyone, without mentioning names, for their great contribution towards this effort, honestly you have made a future for this project.
As a project we are secure, we have a home now after a long time. God is good all the time, thanks be to God.”
THANK YOU FOR HELPING US RAISE £11,000 TO SECURE THE FUTURE OF THE KIBBUSE FOUNDATION.
Now those of us who are able can support the ongoing work developing the Kibbuse project - meeting ongoing costs of salaries of teachers and nurses, and encouraging it's development.
